Just what is called Machine Doubling. I'll let others post the pic/link that coop has to show this. Its a common happening, not a mint error. (Can't on my tablet, sorry)

A doubled die is caused when the hubbin of the shows a spread between the hubbing. Making the devices wider/taller. The doubling is on the die, thus the term Doubled Die.

On Machine Doubling, the devices normal dies are damaged after the coin is struck it reduces the size of the devices. while they may look interesting, they are not doubled dies. It is cause by the machine, not because the die was doubled. But you can have Machine Doubling on a doubled die as well. But on this example it is from a normal die.
