Was wondering if any of the more seasoned members could offer any answers as to what's going on with this nickel I received back in my change from the local burger joint. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it raised or is it an indent? If it is raised, it is most likely a Cud. If not, it might be a lamination error.

to CCF. Not a Cud. Maybe a struck through foil or a folded over Rim Fin?
