1979-P LMC Need Help With Color Determination

Based on the premise there are no stupid questions; I "preserved" this coin with pure acetone before posting pictures. This could be environmental damage but it looks different to me. The color around the rim is like blood. There is a raised "dot" between "O" & "N" in ONE.

Dot is a die chip.

Funny color areas looks like environmental damage on some surfaces and not on other areas.
