Different MM Design 2008 W To The 2007-W American Silver Eagle / ASE 'S

chuckster 125 Pillar of the Community United States 4113 Posts	Posted 05/22/2008 11:45 pm Just got my 2008W ASE today- compared it to the 2008/2007Rev that I have and noticed the West Point MM seems different (in addition to the other reported differences- the Stars, the U in United ,the tilde etc. The first 2 pics are of the 2008/2007W Rev and the last 2 are of the 2008/2008WRev. It looks like the crossbars over the W are different and the 2007 W looks like a much bolder letter than the 08. If someone has already reported this- please disregard this. It would be rather odd if they changed all the rest of the letters, the stars, the central devices, and left the MM alone. Quote: the U in United ,the tilde etc. Those are just the two most obvious changes if you do a close comparison you will find that a completely different font style has been used and all of the letters on the 2008 rev are different from those on the 2007. chuckster 125 Pillar of the Community United States 4113 Posts	Posted 05/23/2008 12:19 pm True- Personally I like the fonts on the 07W Rev better than the 08WRev Also, on my 08/07W- the entire coin just has more of a shine to it , not as dull looking as the 08/08W I just got- it just looks nicer (IMHO) than the 08/08W does.
