What's the next one on your list?

Definitely will seek a 20 cent piece and Trade dollar, but will be patient. Meanwhile, I still need a capped bust Half Dime, and both half dollars. Shouldn't be that hard, but waiting for the right coin at the right price.

I would stay away from a chop marked Trade dollar for your 7070. They may be interesting, but not particularly collectible.

Your best value may be a nice example in an ANACS or ICG holder (avoid SEGS or other basement slabbers) as they often sell at a discount to PCGS or NGC.

Good tip, thanks! Yes, it's gotta be slabbed. I probably couldn't ID a fake even in hand. It seems the vast majority of slabbed Trade dollars (on ebay) are cleaned/detailed.

At the moment, there's a lot to consider. Eye appeal, budget ($200 range), do I buy a slabbed cleaned/detailed?

Something like this seems about right:

I don't really like the color of that one. The coin in the link below doesn't look bad. I think you can get a decent AU details coin in that price range. Don't let the words "improperly cleaned" bother you, they are only words and are not necessarily accurate. The seller may send you additional pictures upon request.

@USSID18 You are almost finished.

Well, I guess maybe as far as filling holes. I could use a few upgrades as well. I won't be happy until these are addressed.

My Shield nickels are beat!

The Flying Eagle was badly rubbed clean by someone.

Capped Bust Dime is beat.

The Standing Liberty Var. 1 is worn out as well.

I can live with the rest.

These are done. I can live with these. Sorry, the lighting is hosed-up! They are all brown to dark brown. The Coronet may have been slightly cleaned at one point. But the coin looks like a decent strike.

Thank you. I'll be forcing myself "not" to upgrade.

To be clear, what is not right for me may not be right for you. If upgrades make you happy, go for it!

To also be clear, what you have here is fine by me.

I do upgrade but only to a point and within my budget.

Glad you like what I've selected.
