Unfortunately, it's just PSD (post-strike damage). For a fraction of a second it looked like a curved clip, but the distortion of the letters and the raised fields give it away.

Also if it were an incomplete planchet, the reeds would be missing on the edge of the coin. Take a look again at the last image.

To CCF! Unfortunately as others said, it's just Post Mint Damage ( PMD) from someone pushing the other edge in with brutal force, maybe a hammer? Anyway, don't give up and keep searching! Keep posting and asking questions on CCF!
