*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Titles are Important! ***

noticed mostly in the designers initials and motto and slightly on all reverse lettering. had it looked over at a coin shop and was told Die Deterioration but id feel more comfortable with more opinions. Thank you in advance.

to the CCF! To answer your question, it is a 1982 Large date. Not seeing a tremendous amount of MD though. It's a spender.

Thank you for the welcome! I am terribly confused lol I'm sorry. Are the initials certainly doubled though? maybe its my eyes but I swear I can clearly see two Gs one spreads to the east.
Ill try to take better and closer pictures as soon as I finish framing a couple walls later on, for some reason I cant upload enhanced photos onto my laptop

It is but no value as what I'm seeing is plate doubling. I posted one two days ago except it was a 1986 D. Try to check that one out when you get time.

Looks like the plating had some zinc dust on the planchet before the coin was plated. Still a nice coin, just not real pretty looking close up.
Rest in Peace
