stoneman227 Pillar of the Community United States 2376 Posts	Posted 08/13/2018 12:40 pm For me the jury is out on this one. Large clips will often not show the Blakesley effect. The fading of the design elements adjacent to the clip can as well be minimal for a large clip. The ridge on the edge is present on many clips. What I like about this one is the fading of the inside part of the rim at the edge of the anomaly. I expect to see this on most clips. Report this Post to the Staff

The M of AMERICA and the O of MONTICELLO also show a little bit of metal flow. So, even though it lacks most of the diagnostics, it has enough of them to declare this authentic.
