*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Titles are Important! ***

hi,
I have a 1955 coin that has a weird mark beside one of fives. I took a picture of it. I'm not sure about it I was trying to look at it with another magnifying glass but it wouldn't show up on that one so?

I added it this time, but you should include the date, mintmark, and the denomination in your titles.

@deb1970, it is a small thing, but please consider handling your coins only by the edges. In this specific case it probably doesn't matter, but you can leave behind fingerprints that permanently mark coins. This can detract from their value.

Looks like Die Deterioration Doubling, caused by a worn die issue.

Although not a plain 55 it still is what is known as a poor man's doubled die.
