I suppose they've much to learn( whoever prints or strikes money for citizens) from all the economic fluctuations in history. I have a liking for the old german empire small silver coins, which I read the population hoarded during the onset of the war. I suppose if it's anybody it's going to be the humble citizens who have to bear the brunt of any such events.
but that's still far from sight for now I guess, so no worries! just keep on collecting old, real money and reminisce on the good ol' days haha

For my latest addition, I decided to go into the future, travel to Australia, and bring back a 2014 Kookaburra 1 oz. silver coin with me. Actually, I got two: one for my personal collection and one for my bullion collection (trying to rebuild it and diversify somewhat, with both Silver Eagles and world 1 ounce coins). This Kookaburra lost its friend from 2013 and is flying solo for the new year, but still looks good!

always happy to receive some 'presents' in the mail... by coincidence 2 different sellers were selling federal republic and GDR coins respectively and I scored for a very small sum. All GDR coins are E mints, and one of them hopefully good enough to get an XF. also a 1961 J(?) deutsche mark that sadly has too many field marks to get an XF IMO. but I can't say I'm complaining, these buys are one of my best so far!

1910 Sovereign. These were still minted for circulation up until 1914 so I think I got quite a nice example.

My latest acquisitions include a variety of coins: I added these two to my slowly growing Christmas coin sub-collection.
