Bought a Bicentennial Uncirculated 40% Silver set for the Ike dollar, which I posted on the Ike thread. Figured I would show off the other two coins that came with it here, and revive thread at same time. The Kennedy half dollar looks stunning in hand. Barely a mark on it. The blue on the Bicentennial quarter is nice as well. 1976-S 40% silver Bicentennial Quarter 1976-S 40% silver Bicentennial Half Dollar Might trade these off down the road.

Ok so I have been watching the PM markets for the last few months very closely and saw a opportunity I couldn't pass up as I had been waiting to add some new stuff to the ever growing hoard I'm acquiring as the years go by. The prices dropped enough to where I was content with what was purchased.. I bought on the day gold bottomed out @ $1,121 oz and all the metals were down as well and thats the lowest gold has been for quite sometime now... Anyway here's some pics off the day after christmas delivery.. enjoy!! 2x 1oz gold bars 5x 2016 american eagles 5x 2017 mexican libertards 5x 2017 canadian maple leaf w/ privy mark 4x 2017 Chinese pandas 1x 2017 Australian Kookaburra 10x 1oz sunshine mint rounds Got some more gold and carson city gsa certified morgans along with a couple other numismatic goodies coming as well as some silver bars in various sizes... just waiting for the right moment.

Comment from member TypeCoin971793 in April 2016: Quote: How do you know it is MS-66? No offense, but I think your coin is far from MS-66. Looks like unc details, cleaned. Sorry but not sure how to do a quote in a reply. Also, apologize for late reply ... just finished 8 months of chemo and not been very active here (or anywhere) until last 2 or 3 days. To answer your question: Opinion of two dealers (one said 65+, other said 66). Neither mentioned cleaning. I'll be sending it off for grading in April. Should know something then. You could be right. I'll try to get back to you then. For what it's worth, the device details and lack of marks in the fields are at least as strong as that of the MS66 on Photograde. But, I won't deny the possibility of cleaning ... I was just going on the opinions of the 2 coin dealers. All opinions are valuable and I appreciate your input. Wishing you a great 2017. Alan

I've always wanted a coin with portrait of king Ludwig II of Bavaria. Bought this one in Berlin on my trip there. Bavaria, 2 Mark 1867D
