The 2 zl Commemoratives from 2005 indeed have a lettered edge

Here are a few of the Regional Commemoratives. They contain a common obverse.

Earlier coins of the 2zl series had the "NARODOWY BANK POLSKI" spelled out on the edge. They changed it to *NBP*NBP*NBP* in 2001.

Is the "ONE" on the reverse diminished from wear, or is that possibly from a weak strike, or both?
