I just purchased this. I like the coin but after looking at it it doesn't really appear to be MS64. What do y'all think?

It looks to be all of a 64 or better as the cheek is clean from what I can see. Morgans are on the upswing and silver coins are an endangered species as the melts by non-collectors start making all silver coins a rare item. Save all your silver, circulated and mint state, as the price of metals increase, even common coins will come hard to find one day. Great price on that Morgan too. Congratulations!

"would this 303yrs old coin cost $300+?"

It was a whole lot less than that.
If every coin were automatically priced at $100 per century of age, only the seriously wealthy would be able to afford to collect the really old stuff.
I kind of wonder why you thought price correlates with age?
It rarely does. There are coins from the 1500's that can be had for pocket change. Meanwhile, check out the crazy figures some recent issues bring.

Nice Freedom! I really like the reverse of the 1891.

My latest purchase arrived today. A 2012 Fiji Taku, I think the coin is very pretty and cool....

Sorry guys, connection problem, hence the multiple posts.

mysilveryears: The reason I asked is because I don't know anything about foreign/ancient coins and I like your coin.

May be I should get into ancient/foreign coins.... they seemed to be more stable of a market and probably better for the pocket book too.

That's a very handsome coin, steve. And about 14.5 centuries older than anything in my collection. Congrats on wading into all that deep history.
