@cps, yes I agree that your coin looks pretty cool, but it is the end result of two coins being glued together. What you are seeing is the imprint of the other cent in the remnant glue. As such, this isn't a mint error and the coin is only worth face value.
Added: sorry I take that back. Your coin was in the middle of a three coin sandwich and that is why there is remnant glue on both sides!

Yes a bummer to be sure, but you gotta just keep looking. You are in a great spot to learn more about coins!

We see these quit often on this Forum. If you were to soak it in acetone, the glue would come off and your cent would be restored to back to the way it was.

We are here to help you know what you are seeing on altered coins. You coin could be fixed, but just spend it. It will come up here again by the next finder. Who may also want to know what it is and let the coin collecting bug bite them.
