Phantom D 1997 With Possible Doubling

MartinD86 Valued Member United States 164 Posts	Posted 06/29/2019 2:21 pm Ive read about this coin and see some mixed emotion here..is it valuable..i hear its common on a few dates but in seven years with myself..my wife and son searching ive only found this suspected phantom d..isn't this technically a 1996 ghost die? Its hard to get a photo cus I only see it when reflected off light..not sure if its a legit double die or not..also see possible pressure lines infield..reminds me of 96 concentric lathe lines..what are your thoughts Report this Post to the Staff

Caused by a worn die issue, from striking a ton of planchets at the U.S. Mint.
