So I'm really inclined to believe this is a Proof. I know there arnt many out there (less then 100) but it has a super flat square rim thruout the entire tim of the coin. Any opinions?

What die markers have you identified to make you think it's a proof?

Does not look like a proof to me. Is that a fingerprint upper left obverse?

It does not look like a proof to me either . Those aren't super flat square rims throughout .

Not a proof. Look at other 1909 VDB cent (and frankly other cent in the 09 to 18 era) and you will notice those wide fairly flat rims on a lot of them. it is just a characteristic of cents from that era.

Are those markers around the date Die Damage ?
Seems like they would be perfect markers.

Doesn't seem to have the profile/strike of a proof Lincoln. You didn't say where you got it, but if from circulation it would be a cool find!
