1991-Quarter-Error-Restricted-I-Think
I found images of another coin struck a date is visible over the 1991 faint. Also lettering around the edge and another set of numbers by in God we trust. The R in liberty has a letter struck on it. And other images on it seen under magnification. Where do I go from here with this coin?

Please post clearer, higher resolution photos-front and back of the entire coin, then a couple of detail photos of what you are seeing. Can't really make out what's going on with the coin given the photo posted. For now, the coin appears to be a common, well circulated, dinged quarter.

Thanks.

I'm learning how to interact on forums with images etc. So it's not easy for me to do the images. There is 2 additional numbers that can be seen on the 1991 date. There is a "7" next to and slightly under the second 9. And a "4" under the 1
. going to try and do a pic of the rim where another rim can be seen.

@atl, first welcome to CCF. Second, thx for providing more explanation about what you are seeing with the coin in hand. Having that extra information really helps us understand your question.

I have taken the liberty of enlarging and enhancing the date on this quarter and can see also see what kinda looks like an extra 7 and 4. However, since the mint could not have produced a 1991/74 overdate, the surface of the coin in this region must be a little damaged. Pareidolia takes care of the rest.

When looking at this coin I can c the extra numbers on the date without magnification. All other areas I had to magnify. Along the left rim can be seen as if the coin was struck ON TOP of another coin. Sorta looked like a foreign coin. These images are faint but can be seen certainly in real life. A friend whom collects coins looked at it and said I should have it graded. Don't know anything about this stuff but I'm sure it cost and I'm broke#128530; living on a fixed income.

Grading this coin would be a waste of money. I can kinda see a 4 but may best guess is Damage

This isn't as clear from your pics--it might be damage but I can't really tell for sure. If you think that this coin might be struck on a foreign planchet, then please give us the weight. That will most likely answer that question.

And everyone for the welcome!
Where do u go to actually sale coins? I no there's ebay but if I wanted to sale some coins such as mint sets gold dollar coins Kennedy half, liberties etc and was just needing some cash quickly? That is without selling for scrap. I had to do that the other day with the silver coins and only got 300. A little over half of the price for weight!
