@howell1018,

I don't think you are going to get a lot of push back. I'm going to be totally blunt, I purchased extra as I can see a potential to sell and make a profit. But I'm still a collector, I'm going to keep 1 of each for the long term. And the reason these are so popular is that many people see the same potential. As to whether that is kosher, heck yeah it is. If we the collectors don't do this the flippers will. But even with that said, I got 2 of the 2019 S - ERP with the intention of selling 1, I still haven't sold it so I may not flip all the duplicates.

I was really hoping to play the mint's quiz of which images had bicycles and boats. It just makes my day before getting an error from the site.

@hfjacinto

You were able to get 2 of the 2019 S ERP... Lucky... I was only able to get one because I told my brother to buy one for me while he was in class. I am glad I asked him as I was not able to get it on my account.
I got 4 of the 75th anniversary ASE, with the hopes of sending them in to get a PF70. I kept one in OGP, 2 came back as PF69, and one came back PF70. I still have all 4 but at some point I will need to sell as this year has had so many expenses for me.
Between a new G15 Dell laptop, Morgans and Peace dollars, Platinum Blue-Eyes White Dragon from Yugioh, and 25th Anniversary for Pokemon... I have spent way too much than I expected... Oh well...

I am still considering sending these morgans and Peace dollars in for grading.

Don't bank on it too much, My account was charged almost immediately (like seconds after clicking the last confirm button)
That is just a pending charge. It will go away in a few days (or by you next statement). Same happened to me for the Morgan Privy O. Was there as a pending charge until month end.

I'm probably going to get blowback on this but...
None from me. I am with you 100%.

Those of you who had major issues, do you have an ordering account/history with the Mint?

I have been a Mint customer since the 1990s and my info was preloaded during each failed attempt. Had to re-enter my CC info each time. No rhyme or reason as to why some get in and some don't. I have a fast connection, only used one tab, etc.

So why does it seem like the majority of people posting here are describing how they ordered more than one of each? I know some are buying for friends or children/grandchildren, but I think many are just looking to turn their purchases over to make a profit.

A fair observation. I never try to get more than one. If I get more than that, it is a result of the repeated attempts. I ended up with 2 each of the D/S Morgans for that reason. I think the person who was successful for me today ended up with 2 Peace dollars. A friend lamented that he wasn't able to get one (all he was after among all the offerings.) I told him that if I did, indeed, have 2 I would give him the second one at cost. Making a fellow collector happy is worth more than a couple hundred dollars in my pocket.

Having said that, yes - there are people here who got the max (and more if they had others helping out.) I've got no problem with that in theory. I probably wouldn't be "bragging" about it this soon after the hubbub, though...

Question: If you end up with more than the household max due to multiple checkout attempts, can you go in and adjust your order to prevent other items in the bag from going away? I talked with someone else who was after 2 of each and ended up with two orders. Can they go in and reduce the number in the second order to 1 of each? Or, will the entire second order be cancelled?

For those that ordered, the US Mint now has the Order History back up. You can see the orders but you still can't access them as they are still processing.

My order would not go through and I eventually got the sold out, remove from cart message. I did get 3 of the S and 3 of the D. Trying to decide whether to trade them for the rest of the set or just sell two and move on.

Took 18 minutes and two open browsers to get one Peace coin. Opera thought I was a 'bot and wanted me to "prove I am human"... Firefox locked my account probably because I entered the wrong password while logged in via Opera... so I reset my password then did the dueling-browser thing again until one of the orders went through.

So come October I will have one Morgan CC and one Peace. I will also be well over my tiny "fun budget"... guilt will no doubt set in and I will ponder selling them both to pay some bills!

In protest? NAH, make them fill the order then double your money on the secondary market.

OR keep them and enjoy them!

Now the real question is when will they charge our credit cards for our purchases, and when do they put the ones that failed to re-charge the CC back on sale...
I bet alot of these coins will have issues as you are supposedly not able to update your cc information afterwards. So if your card expires or you need to dispute a charge, you will lose your pre-order and it is a very costly lost as the secondary market has this 6 coin set for roughly $1,500...

The mint charges when they ship, so on October 15 is when they'll charge for the first 4 coins. Looks like these 2 are November shipping.
