Quote: because I really like Silver Eagles and I want as many types as I can get For the record - So do I, but I don't go after every special set that contains an eagle with other type coins. (Like the Regan set) If I were to buy one 'cornicles set' then I would feel obliged to buy the rest - and THAT is a Rabbit Hole I will NOT follow.

Quote: Then there is this one too. Besides the 2023 Black Label I have some MS-70 First Day Issue and MS-70 PCGS First Strike. I have more 2021s than the other years since two Eagles came out that year.

As it is, I already bought two of the Chronical sets (George Washington), but I ripped them out to place them into my custom designed Dansco 8188 Album. Since the first one from 2018 was about GW and his signature, I figured that I could put a 2007-S GW proof in the top 2 holes showing both obverse and reverse. http://goccf.com/t/441749

The 2009 Lincoln set has the 2009 Lincoln Commemorative dollar (it lacks a Presidential dollar because his had not come out yet). The Reagan set has the ASE because of the Reagan connection, that it is a 30th anniversary is probably just a happy coincidence.

Some ASE Collectors collect a Set, just to get a duplicate Bullion coin, Or Another Proof coin, Why? The coins are minted by the Hundreds of Thousands, Nothing special, Not to Me, But, To others, They collect them Too.... Just not my Target. My Goal is to have at Least One of Every Proof, Uncirculated, Burnished, Reverse Proof, Enhanched Reverse Proof, Or ANY other Unique Sets, that contain a Mint Marked Version, of an American Silver Eagle.....

I guess I do it for the OGP. I know people say " collect the coin, not the slab", but in the case of OGP, it's more than the coin, it's the packaging. Some are really cool. The Reagan Coin and Chronicles is a great example. There is only the one set where the coin is unique, I'm sure everyone knows. There is also the 19S ERP. To me, that's really just a coin. But the same can be said for the Congrats set too I suppose. With OGP collecting there the space consideration, too. I don't think my OGP collection is really any worse to obtain than trying to do a whole (what people would call a "complete" set, which I would not) in a specific label and grade, those guys have it really rough if they want it all in 70, GOOD luck.

I agree that the 'Congrats OGP' to me is nothing more than a 'marketing ploy' to get more sales' I'm not aiming for a "70" set - but it sure would be nice

@jbuck I kind of had to do it but it's okay because when the first one arrived I liked the coins and medal and overall the packaging is very nice.
