Hello all, I found this 1988 D Lincoln Memorial penny in my change last week and thought it looked odd, upon closer examination it appears that the copper plating was never done. I was hoping someone with more experience could shed some light. Thank you for your time, Rick
Not to doubt you but are you sure it's the same dia. Looks like a Texas Cent. You can still see some of the plating on the edge and around the reverse.
I do appreciate the help, I see what you are saying about there being some plating in spots. This is why I am asking you fine folks, because I do not know enough to say one way or the other. Is there anything I can do to help you figure out what we are looking at? Different picture angles or pics of the micrometer readings?
