lol Ok I have been looking at notes now specifically the 1899 black eagle silver certificate but I cant fine price guides on notes to see if I am buying a good deal, I am looking for something like PCGS's website thanks
...not sure how accurate their prices are, but the same can be said for books. I typically view closed auctions (eBay, Heritage, Lyn Knight, etc...) to get an idea of what a note is really worth.
The 1899 Silver Certificate is a perennial favorite among collectors; its bold design and relative availability make it a logical choice for inclusion in many collections of silver certificates. These notes were part of the government effort to make use of the vast silver deposits of the western United States. Today most are worth between $40 and $250 depending on condition.
