Hello..
I'm from England and was given a $2 bill, they said it was a 1995 Atlanta bill...it didn't mean that much to me at the time. after collecting a few more I want to compile a nice little collection of 2 dollar bills..I think I understand the basics 1928, 1953, 1963 ect. but I would like someone to help me with a few questions..How many of the Federal Reserves issued the $2 bill in 1976? was it all twelve? and if so then does each reserve have its own initial? eg, "F" for Atlanta, "I" for minneapolis ect..basically I want to collect a $2 bill from each reserve from 1976...
The same for 2003A series..
I hope someone can help.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to any replies.

Yes, all 12 fed districts printed the 1976 $2 bill. You can find lots of good information here:

The Block and Group lists and the Features of Current Notes links contain detailed answers to your questions.

dursin,

Thanks for that link!

I'm not even really into currency that much and I spent a good deal of time there! That site is a wealth of information.

And Antony,

Hey..
Thank you all for your messages.. and Dursin, that link was, as coppernickeldaddy put it "a wealth of information" it answered so many things. I'm slightly worried now that I'll have to delve deeper into collecting $2 bills..
One thing that I can't get an answer on is..how can you tell what year the note was actually printed($2) I've seen some with a serial number 2008******* from 2008 but is that the only way to know?
hope you can help again..
I thank you.

They say it's supposed to be printed in 2008 (the 2008****) ones, but you don't really know...

ah! Here you go! A wonderful chart from uspapermoney.info!
