Well, the hunt started off strong, but didn't end as hot as it began. I found one silver War Nickel, a 1942-S which I needed for the second book, and a 1935-P Buffalo nickel, which I also needed. No Key Date nickels to report, but I did find a pair of 1950-P and a 1955-P. The second 1950-P when I flipped it over had green crud over the mint mark, but it had been scrapped off with what appeared to be a fingernail to reveal no mint mark. I got a chuckle out of it knowing that another Coin Roll Hunter had held that same coin, only to be disappointed again in a similar fashion to the Cleveland Browns on Sundays. I also found 3 foreign coins, two Switzerland 20 Rappen a 1960 and 1966, and a 1974 Yugaslovia Dinar At the 175,508 nickels searched mark I finally found a Canadian nickel older than 1982 which was a 1976 in not the best condition. I have another 10,000 nickels on order which will bring the total searched to 190,000 I should hit the 250,000 nickels searched during the week of Christmas. Depending on how this next 70,000 goes will determine if I keep going, or at least keep going at the current pace.

Disappointed your chart does not have a running total of cubic feet of nickels searched Seriously, I am enjoying this b/c it also serves as a good teaching tool to those who believe the online clickbait videos and (way too many) ebay auctions making people think it's easy to strike it in the coin hobby.

Really remarkable spreadsheet. The incredible part to me is only 112.5 hours to search 90 boxes, or 75 minutes per box. When I used to search nickels regularly it would take me days to go through a box! That is very fast- that's 90 seconds a roll if my calculations are correct. Blazing speed!!!

Haha Earl42 you read my mind! Cubic feet will be added to the chart. I might add how many feet or miles of nickels I have searched as well!
mycrobb, the hours searched is only raw searching time, it does not include the time it takes to turn the nickels in. Yes you are correct, I average about 75 minutes per box. The reason that I can go that fast is I am only looking for the 1938-1959 nickels, buffalo, liberty, and foreign. The nickels that are minted after 2004 I just pass by without paying much attention.

If I were to lay all of the nickels out that I have searched in a straight line it would be 12,525 feet like long or 2.37 miles long

mycrobb below is a link to my YouTube channel where I am documenting the journey. Each video has a time lapse of me going through the nickels. There is a clock on the wall to see the time and each row of nickels is half a box or 1,000 nickels. https://youtube.com/@nickelguy88-rt1nx
