Sounds like you've got a fun hunt on your hands. Maybe do two boxes a day so you don't become spoiled.

I'm taking a break from nickels for a while as I consumed with halves now. I feel like I'm going cold turkey and experiencing withdrawal symptoms when I go to the bank. I resisted the urge to ask for nickels Friday. I 'll start up sometime later. Good luck with your quest.

After 62 days since my last hunt I finally got back at it. I went through box #3 tonight that has been laid out on my bar top since November. 3 silver War Nickels , including an ender. Two boxes left and I'll be at 220,000 That cold was wicked, borderline scary. It would come back after days of feeling better with aggression. Almost like an allergy attack with it's rapid onset. I took the trash out the one morning and within minutes I was winded, congested, intense sweating, chills, and a resting heart rate of 150 beats per minute that would last for hours. The insomnia was bizarre. I finally made it back to the gym this week and all is well. I have 17 unsearched boxes in my basement so I've got some work to do. |

Glad you're finally feeling better... this has been a particularly bad cold season... I picked up two bugs - one right before a long-planned Vegas trip in mid-December that I fought like heck (rested a ton) and beat... and then picked up another four weeks later - fought it the same way, except I needed some DayQuil since it was in my sinuses... beat it too. I avoided the gym when I was sick as well - no need to risk getting something much worse like pneumonia...
Have fun getting back into it - that first "new" box with three silvers was a nice start!

Finished up with box #4 of this batch and have broke my record for number of silver War Nickels in a batch of 10,000. I have found 6 so far and still have another box to search. I'm still searching for the 1939-D and 1943-D |

 220,000 total searched now. This was a solid hunt of 10,000 nickels. I still need the 1939-D and 1943-D to complete the set. The hunt continues |
