Nope! I haven't quit, but I have slowed down. I had an awful cold/virus that began on December 2nd that I am only now about 95% recovered from. I had thrown by back out the last week of November as well. I just got through the next box so I am at 232,000 right now and, wouldn't ya know, I found another 1948-S. The law of averages continues!
And yes, the 1950-P sure was a beauty!

Sadly, the cat that you will see in the beginning of the 230,000 nickels video passed away on Tuesday, February 20th 2024 at 14 years of age. She usually was asleep on the couch in the background. She is dearly missed.
As always I really enjoyed the video. Sorry to hear about Kitty. She looks to be the same kind of cat I lost two years ago...ironically his name was Puppy.

6 rolls into this next batch of 10,000 and I find a key date as I predicted since it had been over 40,000 since my last one. Never been so disappointed in finding a key date LOL a 1938-S in rough condition. 17 finds in the first box, no buffalos, Liberty nickels, or silver. Now at 242,000 searched.
Now here is a find! A 1904 Liberty nickel, only my 5th one in 242,000 nickels. This is the first one that I have found in over 102,000 nickels with the last one being found on 10/8/2023.
Not even 10 rolls into box #2 and I found a 1936-P, two 1943-P including one is very good condition (it wasn't dark and worn), and this Liberty nickel.
Both boxes quite literally smell terrible. Smells like cheap perfume and a stale, dusty home. My theory, these nickels came from a car wash when the vacuums are cleaned out.
