Can Any Help With This Coin Please?

There is an 'S' mint mark just under the 'ONE'. It appears to be in excellent condition with very slight wear. biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 04/28/2009 11:35 pm That is a Peace dollar, minted from 1921-28 and then 1934-35. It was the last 90% silver dollar minted for circulation, containing 0.77344 oz ASW. The 1928-S had a mintage of 1,632,000 and the grade is probably EF-AU. Numismedia lists EF40 @$36 and AU50 @$52. As you approach the MS grades, the value rapidly increases with an MS60 value of $150 and an MS63 value of $538 which means that the coin is a conditional rarity in MS grades. As an aside, if that pesky mint mark was not present then you would have a key date of the Peace dollar series and a coin worth $4-500 Report this Post to the Staff
