Gizmo3204 New Member United States 10 Posts	Posted 10/06/2024 3:59 pm I have gone through my certified gold coins and found what may be some irregularities. The first one in a 1895 which has a perfect circle on one of the stars on the front of the coin and what appears to be several globs on the reverse of the coin. Area's are marked by circles around what look to me as irregularities. The second coin is a 1899 S which looks like the S may have been stamped over another letter, maybe an O or a C. Can anyone please help me with this, I would like to know if these are irregularities and if they change the value, thank you in advance any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Marv65 Bedrock of the Community United States 10601 Posts	Posted 10/06/2024 5:09 pm The first one just seems to have taken some hits on the reverse with some metal movement - no idea about the "circle" on the star though. Second coin looks like the S took a hit and flattened with the metal being pushed to the sides making it look like there is another letter underneath - AKA: Pareidolia. Report this Post to the Staff
