Brandmeister Pillar of the Community United States 6611 Posts	Posted 10/27/2024 10:19 am Anytime. =) If you put your Type 2 between a comparable Type 1 and a Type 3 reverse, you should immediately see a difference in reflectiveness and luster. Type 1 looks a little muted, and the devices lower. Type 3 has a lot of luster, and the devices are deeper (particularly the eagle) and more sharply defined. Type 2 has a higher reflectiveness, probably due to the flatter proof die fields. Once I figured that out, it became easy to sort them by overall appearance, with 95% accuracy.
