I think so. Perhaps I will coin roll hunt for nickels and quarters. They are always available at my credit union.

So, just for fun, I'm gonna post what the collection looks like currently. Despite not being my favorite coin or anything like that, I find this series to be fascinating and very fun to collect. What other coins can you think of that spans 100+ years? I can't think of too many! page 2 and no, this is NOT a 1922 plain. It's a duplicate 27 that I had page 3 page 4 - last page of wheat cents page 5 - memorial cents I really like how this looks, and all the BU examples I have. my goal is to hopefully have them all BU. The 1970 S small date I am still missing, and finding this in BU might be an expensive purchase. page 6 page 7 page 8 - last and final page So, for the last page, I may have mentioned it, but I took out all the Shield cents. I just don't care about them honestly. I'm thinking of filling a lot of the empty ports with some nice, older proofs. I'm not sure yet if I want to do all proofs, or just the older ones. If I opt to do all of the proof only issues, I will certainly have to add another blank page. I don't think I'll go that route, though. Any thoughts?

Thank you, my friends! I think what I am going to do is start with some of the older proofs, and go from there. If I'm feeling adventurous, perhaps I will continue on after. I plan on getting some of the older wheat proofs, too. However... Pretty sure the only ones that are affordable at all are from the 50's. Few more things... I still need to get that last steel cent! The 43-D. This coin still perplexes me. This is the only 1974-S business strike coin that I've ever found in circulation. Other early 70's S mint coins I've come across countless ones. So why so hard to find with this one? Does it have lower mintage? Isn't this also the first year that San Francisco did only proofs or something like that? Random 2025-D Still haven't seen any Philly coins, though.

Nope, right around the same as the others. https://www.coincommunity.com/us_sm...memorial.aspQuote: Isn't this also the first year that San Francisco did only proofs or something like that? 1975 was the first year for proof-only San Francisco cents.

Ah, okay. Weird.
Any ideas why that might be, jbuck?

Quote: Any ideas why that might be, jbuck? Luck of the draw? When I as roll hunting, the 1968-1974 San Francisco cents were few and far between. 40s and 50s wheat cents were far more common.

From what I've seen, they are both pretty fairly common around here in coin rolls. I am sort of considering organizing another set or series out of all my duplicate coins. However, I'm not sure how or if I want to proceed. I had weighed a couple of options; 1 - Start a blank cent album, and include all Lincoln cents that I can from 1940 to modern for the most part, including proofs. 2 - Start some kind of Dansco Lincoln Memorial cent album, and add proofs possibly 3- Do some kind of "date set" album and include only one coin from each year of Lincoln cents 4 - I don't know. Lol. My recent ebay order of coins is supposed to be "out for delivery" right now. However, I see nothing in my USPS informed delivery... Hrmm. I quite hate their shipping services and they aren't accurate at all. I'm much more excited honestly to get my hands on the slabbed SBA 1981 type 2 proof that I ordered recently, though.

You could start a 'blank' page cent album of cents you find, but place them in the order that you find them

Maybe! Not sure yet. I like the idea of starting a Lincoln Cent album out of my duplicate coins with one for each year possibly, as opposed to one of each mint mark, especially starting at 1940, since they seem to be much more obtainable at this date range. My budget is stretched a bit thin right now, though... So we'll see what happens! I am sort of bummed however that coin roll hunting is a miss right now. It was a good way to immerse myself into coin finds/purchases, without spending hardly any money!

Do not be in too big of a hurry to start your next album. I am sure the right idea will hit you.
