Picked this up. There are 26 known varieties of the 1837 half dollar so I am not going to try to attribute it. The only hand-punched element is the date so the reeded halves are very difficult to attribute and I am not going to try. Also, the David Graham reference is not online so no luck finding the attribution markers.Thoughts? Thanks!

A bit better shape than my 1837 but mine has some cool circulated cameo effect. I do appreciate your set of bust half dollars.

VF35ish. to me it appears the lighting is hiding some surface issues particularly obv K4-K6. depending on the amount of hits and depth it could detail.

This came in. I paid $252. Like @Poopy points out it has a little damage in the obverse at K4-5 that will probably keep it out of a straght grade holder. The 1837 is the most common of the reeded halves along with the 1838. I didn't feel compelled to obtain really nice examples of either date and prefer to put money into key dates. I think both my 1837 and 1838 are flawed but attractive enough in my eyes. Perhaps I will upgrade them later, but probably not. In general, I try not to pile money into common dates. Further thoughts? Thanks!
