What are your thoughts on this one. This is a fairly rare VAM-13B Far Date, Crumbled Stars.

Stars to the left of the date are a mess. Lightly struck at the center of the coin is the norm for the New Orleans mint - not their best work (or their worst, 1891).

the 89(O)'s are right in the middle of when they had strike issues at the N.O. mint. so the ear and breast areas are very common for this year.

the surfaces may be SMPL so they may show more marks than normal in the fields. a plethera of marks and scuffs on both sides, broken luster, stains and discoloration. there are too many indicators that the coin has seen circulation.

AU55 or MS62

Looks like an AU-58 slider.

Really beautiful example of a tough VAM. I may be misreading this one, but there appears to be enough surface disruption in the fields and high points of the coin to call this a slider. There is very little wear, and the remaining luster is fantastic. The toning suggests an old album coin. I'd tentatively call it AU-58. If only New Orleans had struck the coins well and handled them with the care they took basining the dies . . .

Seeing your past posts with CACG, I'll go out on a limb and say they slabbed it as AU-55, personally I'd say 62

This one graded CACG AU Details. I am not surprised by this one, though I was hoping for a straight grade. It has lots of luster, but apparently was cleaned. I was never sure if it was AU or MS either. Still a rare VAM.
