I'm relatively new to collecting coins, but WOW!! I've always wondered about collecting pennies, but never really got into it. But your collections is just amazing; very nice set. Just out of curiosity; how long did it take you to get as far as you are?

Started the set in February of 2009, I need to put up some updated pics because the set has progressed some. I am working on 1930-1934 right now, trying to find full red uncirculated pieces.

Honestly, the Early proofs, so far haven't been THAT pricey

Really? How much did the vdb set you back?

It's also very likely that the 1909-S VDB and 14-D holes will stay empty also.

$40 face of 90% should get you decent copies of both. Been a long time, if ever, since that was true.
Rest in Peace

I see so many 1922 weak D coins that I wonder how many of them are even genuine.

In the 70s, Coin World devoted a full page to a Collector's Clearinghouse on the 4 varieties of 22 "plain" cent.

Only variety 1, which they noted appears to never have had a mm, is accepted today as a genuine 22 no D.

Man I just started collecting Lincoln cents in December for my first Album and I have only gone through pure circulation. Looking at those pictures just excites me!

Lots of updates... I decided to go with slabbed by the top three for the ''09-'34. I have 30 of the 72 coins so far in a minimum of 63 rb. I'm about to add some new material in the next month or so as I came into some extra cash. Will post some pics as time allows.
