On the plus side of the equation. Here is a 1950-D Franklin that came in today. It's impossible to get good representative photos on the obverse toning. It's dark red with a golden glow. If you had this one in hand you would be giving it an "Wow". Thoughts of grade or FBL? Paleoguy

Probably an end of the roll coin. Reverse looks MS-64 but hard to tell what is going on the the obverse fields.

I really like a toned Franklin but you have to just get the angle right to photograph them. I'm sure yours is stunning as I trust your eye. As for grade I would go MS 63-64 with the contact marks I see from your photos. FBL I would say yes but I have difficulty grading this series.

My guess, mostly from the rev and what appears to be hits in the hair, on the temple, and on the cheek, MS62/3.

The one hard hit may keep it from FBL. The bell lines don't show up very well in the pic..

I wanna see, I wanna see.

Despite the lack of glow, I like him.

Thats a 64, and no FBL as those dings interrupt them.

And I am with jbuck here, I wanna see the true color on that toning. Get a better camera! LOL

FBL=full bell line.

It looks like Ben has a serious sun burn in that photo!

I am not sure that a ding would prevent an FBL assignment. It does, however, look like the bottom groove is incomplete, which should prevent the FBL assignment.

jbuck and/or captainwiffo... that picture, or whatever you call it, is awesome.
paleoguy45, it looks like a nice coin. I would probably say its a 64, no fbl for the reasons smokeriderdon gave.

I think the new pictures are better:

I can provide similar pictures of the Franklin above if it is donated to the CaptainFwiffo collection.
