I have been saving both of these coins for the past three or more years and have a slew of these coins. I have more than a few wounded birds included in my stash.

I know that there are other special Sac's out there but have been unable to find any information on them. Is there any place I can go to pick up some learning about them. I know that the Goodacre dollar is out of my reach at the present time.

I have been saving these two coins for a long time regardless of condition and am wondering if (1) there is future in these coins, (2) should the ones with slight imperfections be cleaned up, and (3) should I resolve to put the imperfect coins back into circulation.

I would keep the best and toss the rest.

I agree. There's no point in keeping the lower grades.

I pick up any my bank might have and look through them. After that they go in a jar. When I get a couple hundred worth and the price of silver is good, I take them to the LCS and make a bullion purchase. It doesn't feel like that purchase comes out of my regular coin budget and my wife doesn't mind me picking them up because it is just a few dollars here and there.

On the SBA I would look for the wide rim on the 1979-P as I have seen some of the nicer ones sell on ebay for 10-20. Also have read were there seems to be a renewed interest in collecting this series.
