nohope587 Pillar of the Community United States 5953 Posts	Posted 12/25/2009 11:48 am I use it but only in open areas such as fields. The standard coil is much better in cluttered areas such as play grounds, you get about 2 extra inches of depth with the bigger coil. Report this Post to the Staff

Tim Stroud Pillar of the Community United States 2661 Posts	Posted 12/25/2009 2:11 pm I have only used the stock coil that came with my Ace 250, but I did get the 12x14 coil for Christmas that I had mentioned in one of your previous posts. Tim Stroud Pillar of the Community United States 2661 Posts	Posted 12/25/2009 5:09 pm I have found things as deep as 14-16 inches in loose dry beach sand. About 12-14 inches in other soil types. The stock coil seems to less effective in soils with a high iron content. Report this Post to the Staff
Bennie Valued Member United States 83 Posts	Posted 01/04/2010 01:23 am I live in West Kentucky and our soil does have high Iron content...and creates havoc for me...but, I am learning how to use the Ace better.
