I have read where dateless buffaloes with a mintmark will carry a premium and also that some people buy the dateless ones for jewelry. So, my question is,what is a dateless buffalo worth and what kind of premium will a mint mark add. Also, does anyone know where I could sell about a dozen of them to jewelry making? Just give me some direction and I will do the leg work.

I personally nic-a-date all my dateless buffs. Not sure of the market for jewelry purpose but as far as value I wouldnt say more than 1-2 times face.

Shop here sells them for 20c each. Sometimes I look through it and grab the mm ones, and the ones with readable, but not full dates.

Hello, as a dealer I mark $2 each on them and put them in the half price bin.

So how about the value of date restored ones? I've soaked one in vinegar for about a month and had the date show up...it's a 1915. I'd assume, less than G-4 value?

How does the vinegar work...does it discolor the coin at all?
