They are all worth saving.

The 1972 Variety 3 is the more common of the three varieties, so it is worth the same as any circulated Eisenhower dollar. Same with the 1972-D, a common circulated dollar.

The 1974-D peg leg has a premium value assigned by an Eisenhower dollar variety collector, but I am not sure what that premium is since I am still very new to many of theses varieties.

Is there such a thing as a 1974 Tallon head? I was going through a box of Ike's at a coin shop this past weekend and I pulled out a 1974-D that has the same die break as a 1971 Tallon head.

I tried to go to the Ike site but it must be down.

It appears that the Ikegroup is in the middle of a software change, I get a default phpBB3 page.

Not sure about the 1974, it does not sound familiar. Stewart may know.

Talon Head Die Clashes can be found on all years and mint marks
some are more common than others but all of them are fun to find.
here is a link to a PDF file on Die Clashes made by the Ike Group
that is on another server because the Ike Group Site is currently
down.
I hope this helps

Terry

My latest! Two more in the mail-should be here later this week. That will leave only 1 to go (76 type 1).
