I received a small bag filled with coins from around the world from my grandmother during a visit some time ago. I'm just now going through and identifying the coins but am having trouble figuring out what 5 of them are. I photographed 2 but couldn't get good pics of the others. I'm looking for any info on the coins. I'll post the others if I can get any good pictures.

I changed your post so that the pics show up right in the post rather than clicking on the upload link. I find it easier for identification to see both pics at the same time.

The first coin is a 1956 (AH1375) Egyptian 20 Piastres. It's composed of .72 silver(.3241 oz silver weight). KM#384.

The second coin is a Japanese 50 Yen. It is composed of copper-nickel. I think it's either KM#101.1 or 101.2. The difference is the date and I stink at dating oriental coinage. Hopefully, someone else will be able to fill in the gaps on this one.

Thanks! I really appreciate the help. I guess that means the only thing I need to know now is the date on the Japanese 50 Yen.

Since the date is a regular numeral it translates to the 7th year of emperor Akihito's reign (1995). There were 111 million minted and its worth about .50.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins.
