New entry in from RealPenny! Little story on this one. I was sitting at the table fixing someones computer and I hear a faint tap at the door. I answer and it's a little guy (8y/o) who lives up the road, maybe a half mile from me. He holds out this dripping wet sand encrusted postcard and says "this was on the road in front of our house". It was RealPenny's postcard. I gave him an uncirculated silver dime in a capsule and thanked him. So here's the card after I cleaned it up. Made me laugh . Then I made salmon for dinner... power of suggestion.

Got a great card from Montreal in my mailbox this afternoon. Sender is NickleHalfDime and is a homemade card featuring a nice shot from old Montreal on Rue Saint Jacques. I referred to this street as St. James Street for most of my life. The postage is very cool, featuring a nice blend of old and new including some stamps I used to use all the time ...lol. Excellent and interesting. Thanks for the entry NHD.

Absolutely great card came in an envelope from Upstate. It's a quite old collectible card featuring a shot of a ferry that used to run across the St. Lawrence River. Postage was 2 cents !! This card is famous enough to have it's own web page. Thanks Upstate! This link will take you to the document page for this card. Note this card is also post marked Ogdensburg albeit with a different date than the one mentioned on the link below. http://images.maritimehistoryoftheg...12/data?n=22

Looking forward to seeing that Specksynder.. One of the reasons I like doing this contest is that everyone has a different approach and we all get to see some interesting things. I remember when 3D postcards starting making the rounds... lol...

LOL Molly, looking forward to receiving it... drawing is not a requirement, just a doodle is fine, we'll leave the masterpieces in the Louvre where they belong! Great card in from Rsxtacee come in an envelope with a trade (lucky me!). I'm not entirely sure how he got a photo of me doing my daily chores, but I guess I have to put up with this kind of thing being a guy wearing a kilt and all.

Received a beautiful and in excellent condition old post card from DzRick. It's post marked 1941 with a Industry-Agriculture 1 cent stamp and features a shot of a formation "Three Graces" in the Pikes Peak region. The card itself is a linen card, not paper. This is a very nice very collectible item and I'm honored to have it here in the contest. Many thanks dzrick! Oh yeah, the doodle is not attached to the card, I just scanned it that way because I'm Ugly AND Lazy.

Yay! glad it arrived well! It's too bad my stamp and postcard don't measure up to everyone else's, but hopefully the cartoon is cute!
