OK I admit, I separate my coins, copper pennies and nickels in one coffee can, quarters, dimes, and zinc in another, and yes I check for silver dimes. While checking for silver dimes, I came across this beauty,,,

This coin shows the classic characteristics of die fatigue.

It was very common for nickels of the same era as well.

EDIT: Actually I think I see what you're talking about now. It looks like the die was also slightly mis-aligned. Very common.

No pro here but the reverse looks like misaligned die (MAD) Now the edge of the coin (reeded third die)a.k.a. collar, I don't know if the line I see is part of the MAD or a separate collar issue?
