Since the step downs are not frosted like the date all I get is a large glare spot if I use much light. Hence the dark picture. Best I could do. I know it is mechanical but still interesting that it bounced around that many times.
Guido, took the pics upside down this and then righted them. A little lighter but still hard to see the stepdowns. The first one is very obvious. At the top of each numerial there is four steps where the coin bounced up and hit the die leaving a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th impression of the date.
