To help in keeping the forum more active.

I do not collect a lot of currency, but do actively seek notes from time to time that interest me whether from circulation or buying from dealers.

For obvious reasons I don't keep many of the higher denominations from circulation($50 and $100),but will keep if an older series or the serial number is low, radar or repeater.

So for this topic, post a picture of the oldest series date you have found in circulation.Any denomination,Any condition and how you found.

Below is a Series 1985 $50.
My brother-in-law runs a business and I occasionly get go through his currency,he had six of these customers had given him, this was the best one in the bunch.Scan makes it look uncirculated, but it's not.

This is my first note ever. I found it when I counted a deposite at McDonalds back in high school. I noticed how old this one was, and after this one I just started keeping every one I could find.

Tykimeister,

Is that a series 1934?

I love the look of those light green seals.
Lady at my bank had 4 or 5 of that Series in $100's that she pulled from circulation, several of which were in nice shape, but being a currency collector herself she wouldn't part with one.
