Missing Letters JFK 1776-1976 Please Help

Finn235 Pillar of the Community United States 6130 Posts	Posted 10/08/2013 11:54 am These are commonly called "Filled Die Errors" or just "greasers". They are made when part of the die is filled in with something (usually grease and/or dirt) and that part of the design is weakly struck or not struck at all. They are extremely common, and do not fetch much premium unless a significant portion of the design is missing. I'd expect face plus 10-25 cents for each, but only if you can find a collector of this type of error. Report this Post to the Staff
