GERMANICVS Pillar of the Community Germany 1856 Posts	Posted 06/01/2015 1:47 pm The question I have is, is it worth it removing coins from the old Anacs small white slabs and have them regrade at PCGS? Or, as I have read, these old holders are still valued for their conservative grading and as such there is not much to gain by a cross-over. I am very new to this slab thing, and the only slabbed coins I have are those that happened to be in slabs when I bought them. Report this Post to the Staff
Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6405 Posts	Posted 06/04/2015 01:27 am If you send it in the slab I doubt very much that PCGS would upgrade it. If however you crack it out it seems likely to me you would get that AU-58. A risk obviously, and I'm not sure PCGS AU-58 would bring a much higher price than old ANACS 55 if you decide to sell someday. There is however a $200 price difference between the two grades on the PCGS price guide. Decisions, decisions...... Report this Post to the Staff
