Looks like it might be N-27 which is R5- in Grellman. F-15 or so? http://www.ebay.com/itm/25198097795...RK:MEBIDX:IT

VG-10, maybe? I'm not that good at large cents. How much did you pay for her?

That's one of the really cool things about large cents. You can get really old coins for relatively cheap.
I've researched this coin for about 20 minutes. It could very well be an N-27. Large image here.

But it could also be an N-26. Large image here.

I'm inclined to say N-26 because of the position of the point of the curl to the 8 and the fact that the 0 is even lower than the N-27.
Both coin's rarity is low R.5.
Looks like you have another coin to send to Bob Grellman.
Either variety is very cool.
As far as grade I'll agree with the seller's VG-10.

the reason I thought N-27 was the small point on RT end of T in cent. Its there on the 27 but not the 26

Either way, nice pick up Jerry. I'm kinda leaning toward the N-26 too. The 13th star point is also a touch closer to the hair imo.

I guess we shall find out in a few weeks. Mr. Grellman is in Europe till July. That point on the T in cent pointing upwards still make me think N27.

You're probably right, I didn't look at that.
