Yep, I made one of those as well. What lens are you using? I have an 80mm El-Nikkor and can shoot 41mm ASE dollars fine. However, my bar extension on the stand is 8" long vs. 6" so I can get a little more height with the bellows setup. |

I'm using a 75mm El-Nikkor, but do have tubes and a helicoid that NoPoMoCo suggested.

chequer you are doing a great job your photos great. NoPoMoCo suggestion is a very good one. on big coins if you have a focusing helcoid 2 sets of macro tubes. but you will only need a couple of pieces on large coins. I took a image of a coin the mate to yours. using that very setup here it is. I learned this from ray and it really works good.  |

What brand of copy stand is that...I am thinking about upgrading my old stand a 1960's testrite to something with a little more adjustment capability...thanks

Really nice photo, Rocky.
@SolomonValley I have no idea as to brand. I don't see any markings, other than a number hand engraved on the back which is likely for security (identity). It's a microscope stand and I got it from one of the members here - rmpsrpms who may chime in if he knows.

LOL...I am starting to extend to far out with my setup now...I may have to get a larger base...some day when I have more $$$ I will purchase a little more modern setup...but I get quite good pics, good enough for reselling coins on Amazon... |
