I have never had a smart phone and would like to know the trick to take pic of coin and post to the forum. I am lost and I have seen members send from I phone 7 to post them.

Would I have email to laptop and send or ?. I have asked the Verizon kiosk folks I got it from, but they only sell service and don't have info to help.

Thanks Gary

Happy to tell you how I do it, but I'm sure that there must be a better way...

I take a pic with my phone and then email it to my email account. I open that file on my desktop computer with MSOffice 2010, compress and crop it get it to under 300 KB, and then hit the "switch to full rely" button so that I can upload the file.

If you have multiple photos you want to get from your phone to your computer, you could also transfer them wirelessly using a photo transfer app, or you could save them to a cloud storage like Dropbox. Either option is slightly easier than emailing to yourself if you have several photos to move. Then you can use the forum's image optimizer to adjust the size of the file before posting.

I do everything on my "phone". It is not an iPhone so, that may create some differences.

When I take a picture, it saves to my Gallery under "Camera". I know that because of the resolution of the camera (13MP), I will have to reduce the image size to be able to post it.

If no editing is required other than using the CCF Optimizer, when I am in Full Reply, I "click" on the Optimizer link. Then I press the green "File Picker" button. I choose "Documents" and that takes me to where I can choose "Gallery" and then the "Camera" album where I can select several pics at once to optimize.

After selecting them, I make sure that all of the pics are within the 300kb limit (adjusting size and quality when necessary) and press "Save". I press the down arrows for each one and they save to my phone's gallery under "Downloads".

After that, I select "Upload Image" in Full Reply and again select "Documents" and then "Downloads". What I just optimized and downloaded to my phone is there and I select each pic in the order I want to upload. This has to be done one pic at a time. You choose the pic from your download folder and press "Upload". After it uploads, you have a choice of uploading another pic or closing the window.

I hope this helps. It is difficult to explain this sort of thing without being there. Plus, I don't know how it may be different on an iPhone.
