I did some research, on this coin. I posted about it before, but can't find the link anymore. I was told it was a novelty coin... Lol. Well, I had a friend tell me to search double denomination coins, and I found one that looked just like it. :) I weighed it, and it's approximately the same weight as a dime. If you look at the back of it, there's the outline of an upside down head sunk in behind the building. And the other side has something there too, but I can't quite make it out. Just curious if anyone's seen anything like this before?
Nope, not a Double Denomination. It's a Texas Cent. It has been placed between two pieces of leather and was whacked with a hammer, causing the coin to expand in size like a pancake. It's Post Strike Damage, not an error. See this link for more information. http://www.lincolncentforum.com/for...pped-plating
