So I've been opening some old rolls from the mint, of 2007 Presidential dollars and I came across what I'm assuming is a die clash, anyone got a better idea of why my liberty has an "O" face? I actually dont think it's an "O" I think it's a "G". Any help is welcome and thanks.  |

Also if you need help seeing it, it's below the eye socket on the ridge of the cheekbone.

Wouldn't be a die clash. That is about the highest point on the design so it would have been the deepest part of the die. No way to get a clash down there without also clashing against everything else around it.

I believe there is clashing elsewhere in the coin but nothing as cool as the mark on the cheekbone, theres mars all over the coin. But most look weird or not much.at fist I thought it was bag marks but I just realized how odd the Mark's looked compared to other bag marks. I'll go get other pictures real quick

 Here's a better picture and I'll work on some full coin images both from in back soon. I'm at work for a couple more hours but as soon as I'm home I will get those. Edited by Fdock9

Screen shots are never better, they're too pixelated to be of use (please don't). Always include photos (directly) of the entire coin, both sides. Thanks.  |
