1923 S Standing Liberty In My Coin Bezel

JoggingLiberty Valued Member 292 Posts	Posted 08/27/2015 02:52 am So I have what I believe is a 1923 s standing Liberty sitting snug in one of my coin bezels. I placed this coin in it because I originally thought it to be a no-date coin. The date is so faint so I want to try and pop the date out. Any way to do this without ruining the value of the coin? g048406 Pillar of the Community 861 Posts	Posted 08/30/2015 4:23 pm You can try rubbing some black soot (like what you can find in your vehicles exhaust pipe) on the date area. It might help outline and show the date better. Otherwise, you can't restore a date chemically on s silver coin. Report this Post to the Staff
